byCarvalho Inc. is an independent creative studio in London, Ontario, Canada. This policy covers this website and enquiries sent to us. For privacy questions or requests, contact our Privacy Contact at hello@bycarvalho.com. We handle personal information in accordance with applicable Canadian privacy law, including the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

If you email us, we receive your email address, name and whatever you include in your message. We use this information to respond, discuss your project and manage our business relationship. Please share only what is needed for your enquiry. If you use the enquiry form, the name, email address, club or course name, optional phone number, the services you select and the message you submit are transmitted to us by email through our email delivery provider, and are received in our studio mailbox. We do not create a public database of enquiries on this site. Your browser may independently offer autofill.

The server providing this site necessarily receives connection information, including your IP address and requested resources. A hosting provider may keep technical logs for delivery, troubleshooting and security. Fonts and images are served with the site; loading them does not contact a separate font or image service. Hosting arrangements and log retention must be confirmed for the public deployment.

We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use this site. It measures visits, the pages viewed, device and browser details, approximate location and engagement, and uses cookies to recognise a returning browser. We use these reports to understand and improve the site. Google processes this information on our behalf. We use this information only in aggregate, not to identify you. We do not use Google Analytics for advertising, advertising personalization or Google Signals, and we do not send names, email addresses or enquiry contents to it. Page views record the page address without URL query strings or fragments.

Analytics data is collected when you visit the site. By continuing to browse, you agree to this use. You can opt out at any time, and the whole site works the same if you do: install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on, block or delete cookies in your browser settings, or turn on your browser’s tracking protection. This site does not use advertising cookies. When Google Analytics is active, it sets first-party cookies (named _ga and _ga_ followed by an identifier) that are configured to expire after 180 days without extending that period on each visit. The site does not set other cookies to track you. You can delete or block cookies in your browser settings; cookies are specific to each browser and device.

Email, hosting and analytics providers may process information for us to deliver their services. Depending on the provider, information may be stored or accessed outside Canada, including in the United States, and may be subject to foreign laws and lawful government access. Contact us for information about the providers relevant to your enquiry. See Google’s Privacy Policy and how Google uses information from sites that use its services. We do not sell personal information. Disclosure may also be required by law or reasonably necessary to protect legal rights.

We retain correspondence only as long as reasonably needed to answer your enquiry, manage an ongoing engagement, meet legal recordkeeping duties or resolve a dispute. Retention depends on the record and purpose; contact us about your specific records. Google Analytics is configured to keep user-level and event data for two months. Aggregated reports can remain longer and are not governed by the same setting.

You may request access to personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccuracies, or withdrawal of consent, subject to legal or contractual limits. You may also ask us to delete information no longer needed; deletion is not an unconditional right where records must be retained. We may reasonably verify your identity. Where PIPEDA applies, access requests are generally answered within 30 days, subject to permitted extensions and exceptions; we will explain any applicable extension or refusal. An enquiry is not a subscription to a newsletter. This site has no newsletter sign-up. If we introduce promotional subscriptions, we will provide the consent, sender identification and unsubscribe arrangements required by Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation. The site is intended for people seeking professional creative services; we do not knowingly solicit personal information from children under 13. Contact us if you believe a child has provided personal information.

No website or email service can promise absolute security. See our Security page for the current scope and how to report a concern. We will revise this policy when practices change and post the updated version here with a new date. Where a change requires your consent, we will ask for it.
